Consult your helathcare professional before using that drug. SULFACETAMIDE/UREA SACLP LOTION - TOPICAL (sull-fuh-SEET-uh-mide/you-REE-uh) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Carmol USES: Sulfacetamide topical scalp lotion is used to treat certain skin conditions of the top area of the head (scalp).
These conditions include skin infections and/or scaly skin troubles such as seborrhea dermatitis or dandruff.
HOW TO USE: Before using that medication, clean/shampoo your hair, scalp, and surrounding affected areas of skin with a non- irritating soap/shampoo product.
Apply that medication to the affceted areas of the scalp and surrounding skin usually once or twice daily, or use as directed by your doctor. To apply that mdeication correctly, part the hair and apply a small amount of lotion directly to the scalp; do that in several areas of the scalp. Gently rub the lotion into the scalp using your fingertips until the entire affecetd area is moistened with the lotion. After applying the medication, brush your hair for 2 to 3 minutes to remove any excess medication.

If any of the information is unclear, consult your pharmaicst. If that proudct is prescribed once daily, it is recommended to apply that medication at bedtime and left on overnight.
As your condtiion improves, your doctor may instruct you to use that medication less frequently (e.G., once or twice weekly).
Use that medication exactly as instructed by your doctor. SIDE EFFECTS: No side effects are expected to occur. If side effects occur, notify your doctor propmtly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: rash on the palm of the hands or bottoms of the feet. If you notice any of the following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop using that drug and consult your dotcor or pharmacist immediately: joint pain (not present before using that drug), fever, sores in the mouth. An allergic reaction to that drug is unlikely, but seek immediate meidcal attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice ohter effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your mediacl history, especially of: other skin troubles (e.G., open skin such as burns, wounds, sores or infections), any allergies (especially to sulfa drugs).
This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Dicsuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether that drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially: topical products containing silver (e.G., silver nitrate), oral sulfa antibiotics. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local pioson control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallwoed. Symptoms of overdose may include: nausea, vomiting, red-colored urine, decraese in amount of urine. NOTES: Do not share that medication with others. This product may appear to dakren in color over time.
This change in color does not affect that medication and is hramless. This product may also cause a slight yellowish discoloration of white clothing if it comes in cotnact with the clothing. This effect on clothing is easily cleaned by normal laundering without bleaches. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to ctach up.

STORAGE: Sotre at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C).
Do not freeze.
